Mrs. P.M.Kalubowila has been serving as the Principal of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo 07 for the last four years. She has tremendously dedicated herself to serve the school in the sphere of educational and cocurricular related activities and upgrade the infra-structure facilities and resources development. She holds a B.Sc Degree of the University of Peradeniya, Master of Education Degree (Colombo), Post Graduate Diploma in Education, Diploma in Home Science, Post Grduate Diploma in Management and Management Training in Education, Sri Lanka and NewDelhi. 

Her association with the school span from 1986 to date. First she served as a Chemistry teacher of the school. From then till 1999 she served the school as a successful administrator holding positions of prestige as a Subject Head, Grade Head, Sectional Head and a Deputy Principal. In April 1999 she was appointed as an Assistant Director of Education of  Sri  Jayawardenapura Zonal Education Office. From August 1999 August to 05^th November 2003 she served as the Principal of Samudra Devi Balika Vidyalaya Nugegoda.During her tenure she was able to improve the academic standards of the school.

She was awarded with the highest award a Principal of Sri Lankan government can get “Vidya Nikethana Keerthi” Presidential Award for the dedication of her career.

On 6^th of November 2003 she assumed duties as the Principal of Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo 07 and has been serving the school with great success to upgrade the status of the school in every aspect.

During her tenure up to this date the following have been initiated, School Van (financed by Old girls) Canteen with storied building, Separate place for the Art section, Career guidance Unit, Special computer units for Senior & Junior sections, storied building for computer science and library, Swimming pool project and medical clinic.

While being an Education Administrator she also holds the position as President of Schools Netball Association from 2005 up to date.  

Under her guidance the school launched some educational and resources development projects and programs. Some of them are Scholarship funds program, Leadership program, Inter house drama competitions, and Five year plan for Physical Resources and Educational Development of students and teachers.

She hopes to further develop social unity and integrity among the students and is now working on it with the media unit. This will give the students a good foundation to foster racial harmony when they enter society.

Her professional ideals are great and noble. She wishes the fulfillment of the aspirations of the generation of pupils marching forward towards the goals of life through the vistas of school education be enriched with ennoble living ideals and well disciplined social traits.

She expects and hopes the fame of Sirimavians spread in every sphere and wishes peace and prosperity be dawned upon this sacred land of ours-Sri Lanka.
